    mic cables

There's a pretty good concensus among pros about Mogami. Monster is alot of hype for those consumer electronics folks looking to blow $100 on a cable on a rainy day.

    Selling CDs at gigs

Well if my bass player tried to sell recordings to the public with my singing on them without my permission he would be looking for another gig pretty shortly, but that's just me. though you may be a more experienced muscian, I doubt people will buy the CD to hear your bass playing. They will...

watcha think of my new website?

I'm no web expert, but they say no image should be more than 50K, and a page should be no more than a 100K text, pics and everything. I follow this and I haven't got any complaints yet.

It's a good way to get feed back on your music. If you have no industry contacts, then there probably the next best thing.

Studio Projects C1 or Crown CM 700

I think it would be hard to say listen to such and such recording and you'll hear what a certain mic sounds like unless you also know the mic pre and every other high end piece of gear the signal passed through.

Studio Projects C1 or Crown CM 700

I have 2 cm 700s and like them quite a bit. Too bright? not that I've noticed. I like them on acoustic guitar. I've tried it on vocals and liked it, but have not actually used it for that application, as I have a KSM 44 and AT4050 for that. The cm700 comes with a pop screen especially for...

I'm Ready to GO LIVE...but how?

Why look for a band Mshea when you play piano and acoustic guitar. I play piano and acoustic guitar as well, and do fine in live shows as a singer songwriter. It's much more profitable than being with a band. I keep the whole check.

3 ways to make it in music

The marketing experts say the average indi artist sells 5 CDs a year off the net. I do much better than that but I don't see it paying the mortgage anytime soon, but it is gratifying to see visitors to my site from virtually every country in the world. I feel like a micro, mini, international...

    web site help

www.Bandzoogle.com is the coolest thing I've seen to help muscians on the net. Design your site with them, and they give you all the tools you need like mailing list, polls, message boards, discussion forum, I don't know anything about web design and I did my site completely by myself. The...
