small diaphragm condensor for acoustic guitar

I always record acoustic guitar with 2 mics. While I have a pair of SM-81's, I will generally go to a pair of AT 4041's. This is a greatly underated mic IMHO. Just my 2¢...

I had a contract to buy the church but found out right away that I was going to have to put about 25-30k in air conditioning right off the bat. That pretty much queered the deal for me. I'd love to have you come by. Badger has a very cool place near TCU. Great coffee too!

Well... I'm a firm believer in rigid fiberglass and make use (or will make use) of it in every room. I have a great source in Fort Worth where it's always available and relatively inexpensive. However, I also dig Auralex! I think it serves a viable purpose and also looks nice. I know there are...

    Solved Quick question!

Use 1x4's for your framing. 2x4's is overkill. A 1x4 is actually 3/4" x 3 1/2". 4" of rigid fiberglass will extend out either in front or in back (take your pick) 1/2" beyond the width of a 1x4. How do you propose mounting them on the mic stands?

I have 18 lava lamps. :D Just trying to decide where I want to put them... No FF800...if your talking about the unit above the MOTU, it's a Behringer headphone amp. The ONLY piece of Behringer gear I own! ;) Actually sounding much better than expected considering I don't have all of the...

Re: the 57 - My band has started our second CD and I used it to record some count-ins against the metro for our scratch tracks. :) Yeah, cassette...I get a fair amount of folks wanting transfer service. I moved to the JBL's from a pair of Mackie HR-624's. Quite a difference! And I have a 12"...

I would think my studio is somewhere between home recording and semi-pro. Construction/clean up is not quite finished but I do have everything far enough along that we've started tracking. We have 5 full CD projects in various stages of completion. I'll hand over the master for the first...

Just had to tell someone :)

Don't get overly excited about Audiosnap just yet. When you have a track with extremely well-defined transients (kick, snare bass, etc.) it can define these transients pretty well. However, on tracks such as acoustic guitar being strummed it has trouble defining transients in a useful manner...
