I can record some acoustic songs, but when I do eletric, it always sounds empty without the drums, and since I can't drum I get limited there. However a lot of indie artists don't use drums, like sufjan stevens, I mean should I learn piano keyboard to make more full indie sounds? I do like a lot...
Wow, I forgot about this topic, changing the strings did the trick! Thank you all for the help. Btw is every note in the guitar supposed to be pin pointed by the tuner? I mean I played an open string and the 12th, both are in tune, but when I play the notes in between, the tuner says it's a...
I used two tuners, one from my digital stompbox and one from guitar rig. I first tuned the 12th harmonic to E (6th string example), then played the 12th note to see if it matched.
My guitar is a fender squier bullet strat, inverted because I'm left handed, I made that modification 3 years ago...
EQ is the balance of the music frequencies, improving the bass would mean the low frequencies, improving the treble, the high frequencies and so forth. Some noises like "S"s have a unique frequency, therefore they can be silenced without affecting the vocal range. There's also the noise...
So, I'm fixing my guitar intonation, everthing ok for the E,A,D and G string. B string will get there, but the screw is on the limit. However the E (1st string or the high pitched one) will not get there, doesn't matter how I move the screw in the bridge back and fourth to the limit it seems to...
No, I'm not, but I just don't want to show some really good singing and then trying it live and suck. I'm bad but I practice, I'll eventually get there! Anyhow, thanks for the answer.
I didn't diminish it, I'm aware I can't sing. Also I don't like EQing the voice, music is supposed to be listened raw and with every detail that comes with it, not with hi-fi production that makes it fake and sound like a robot. Thanks for the advice, I will practice my singing, but I will never...
Not at all, thanks for the advice, it's easy for me to record a song with just an acoustic guitar and voice, but when I try to do it eletric, it always sounds off. The guitar is in tune, might be an intonation problem since I've modified it. I already have a pop filter ahah, but I'll back away...
