Here's some info for ya. Carol Kaye, the woman who played bass on Pet Sounds used a Fender Precision Bass through an Fender Concert Amp Open Back 4-10". She played with a hard pick using medium gauge flatwound strings.

I'm running a Delta 44 with Win 98 First Edition and it works just fine, no problems have occured.

I've done some tambourine, maracas, and shaker recording and what I did was mike them up close with an SM57 and then put my C1 a few feet away and got a great sound.

I use that exact same AMD 1ghz duron chip with a Delta 44 and running just fine. I had freezing problems with my system earlier but I found out it was because of my cheap ass PSU. But your setup should work just fine, what manufacturer is your motherboard?

The drums sound really good to me when I'm playing, its the sound that I want. The problem being, is the sound that I'm getting on the recording isn't sounding like whats really there, or even close.
