Need input on Original Jingle--"Ask The Credit Cowboy"...

Yeah I agree with the others that the BGV are a bit loud. I also would like to hear maybe the fiddle in the very beginning. For me it needs something to catch your ear right from the start.

    REV-X VST 3 Error

I know I am probably stating the obvious but check your eLicenser Control Center. It may need to be updated along with Cubase. I had to update mine to activate my new version of Cubase. Sometimes you need to run the eLicenser as an Administrator to get it to update correctly as well.

No mention of 9.5 yet really?

I just updated to Elements 9.5. I use it because it has more than enough for me at this point. I only record live vocals, guitar and bass. I also only record myself so I have not needed all the bells and whistles of Elements, let alone Artist or Pro. I may upgrade though for the additional...

    First Professional Jingle

Wrote, recorded and produced a jingle for this company and it turned into a voice over and video production gig as well. Not big money but fun. YouTube

    Thoughts on my lyrics?

I like these lyrics. I see depth in the meaning or metaphors. Something I have trouble with, I always seem to write about everyday things. One thing I did find odd was the "I Am" song doesn't have "I am..." in the lyrics but "I'm" instead. Is that on purpose, to fit better with the music?

Electronic U.S. Copyright application: How long before I can publicize the song?

Yes the PA is what I do most times with a guitar/vocal when really just worried about the publishing for the song. When the recording is going to be sold as is for downloading, jingle, etc. I use SR. That way when some rapper wants to sample my awesome guitar riff, I can get mine :laughings:

Electronic U.S. Copyright application: How long before I can publicize the song?

This is true. Also, they should send you a conformation email when you register and pay for proof of date. It usually takes about a year for you to get the official paper in the mail. This link should answer most questions you have. https://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ01.pdf

New release needs some perspective! Novus Cantus - Romance

Hey man, I echo the sentiment here. Nice work. The only part the distracts me a bit is the rim shot of some kind starting at about the :50 mark. It has a lot of reverb on it and is quite loud. Maybe you meant this to be this way, I just found my attention taken away from the rest of the...

    Cubase 9 Export Sound Quality

When I listen to a recording of one audio vocal track inside Cubase it sounds really good, low noise and clear. When I export that one track a low hum is added to the sound and the level seems to be pumped up and the sound is very "pointy" I have tried dithering, changing bit/sample rates...

    My Cheap Vocal Booth

@jimmy - Yeah I just took what I had around the house, eggshell from bedding, etc. I have Aston Origin mic. The room is actually a small garage with lots of sh%t everywhere. I rent the place so I am not gonna do any major sound treatment. I am gonna try some takes inside and out, but I have...

    Mic Advice

Thanks, yeah that mic shoot out page helped me make my decision. When I listened to the NT1 it had some of the same frequencies sticking out as the mic I already had so I went with the Aston Origin. It was on sale for 250 at Guitar Center. So far I really like it.
