Gotcha, sounds like those setups could produce some pretty nice sounds to work with.

Opera singer (tenor) recording at home, questions

I would probably side with Gecko here and go with an economically priced large diaphragm condenser.(I like the Aston Origin) I am a classically trained vocalist, but I sing pop and rock, and my voice can get quite loud. There are many songs I must stand at least 3 feet from the mic. You will...

    Noise Problem During Vocal Recording

It sounds like background noise to me. I can hear you breathing in the second clip. If the tracks are too loud when you are recording the voice, turn them down in the DAW and turn your headphone volume up. There is a direct monitor setting where you can here the mic before it goes through the...

    Noise Problem During Vocal Recording

A clip of the sound would be good but I also would like to ask... Why do you turn up the gain on the mic instead of the level of the headphones? 3 o'clock or 75% on the mic gain is really hot for a condenser mic.

    Your Vocal recording at home

Some things I would suggest... Most importantly....DO NOT GIVE UP! It will come with practice and like mentioned above it is a different skill than singing live. Warm up your voice, sing a few times without headphones and the tracks coming through the speakers before you start recording...

Collaborative Video in the C-19 Era

Yeah, I have seen this done before but I still think it is cool for people to try, especially nowadays. Speaking of "The Weight" this guy did it years ago in a very similar way.

Disposable World - Pearl Jam-esque song

Man, I like it. If I had a nit to pick, and I am really searching here, I would say the rhythm guitar is a bit dry for me. Doesn't mesh as well as it could with the drums and vocal which really have space to them. Just my 2 cents

Having trouble with an acoustic guitar track--Help needed

Also before you get too crazy with the sound of this guitar recording. How does it fit into the song? Sometimes recordings sound awful on their own and then they fit in a mix somehow. If it is just the guitar and a vocal then yes, fix it now. It also may be the placement of the mic. Point it...

    Picture in Picture Fun

I couldn't find anyone to sing harmony with me so I sang with myself. Pretty easy to do with most any video editing software, especially if you are used to using a DAW.
