By individually do you mean one by one? You could do that, but I would expect editing the tracks so they synced up to be a pain.
As I think you know you can't transfer tracks simultaneously and get them on separate tracks in n-Track, without a soundcard with multiple inputs and software which...
Actually, I hope you're right. I'll be replacing all my cables soon - almost certainly with HOSAs, as they're almost all I can get hold of. If retiring the guitar cables in favour of patch cables results in an improvement in sound I'll be thoroughly chuffed.
Are the cables HOSA call audio...
2nd vote for n-Track.

It's good, it's cheap, it's easy to use/learn. The program's frequently updated and the update's are usually free. Also, technical support is excellent. I've twice e-mailed Flavio who writes the program and received answers and solutions to problems...
This is often people's reaction to hearing their voice on tape, especially the first time they hear themselves. You hear your voice differently from how everyone else hears it. Which is what Bizarre meant by the resonance of your skull, I think.
There's a review on the Sound on Sound site.

Use the Search facility searching on Spirit Folio SX.
I'd post the specific link but I can never get them to work
A Search on "vinyl" and "transfer" will take you to a number of threads dealing with this.
Do you have a PC with a CD writer/burner? If so, the path is quite simple: stereo amp (with phono/RIAA stage) to soundcard using the right cable (often two RCA conectors at the amp end, stereo 1/8th" jack...
If you use the Search facility here you should find plenty of posts discussing the relative merits of Lexicon, Alesis and Yamaha etc. There's been quite a few recently.
I more or less asked this question myself a few weeks ago. Bruce Blue Bear suggested trying the Lexicon LXP1. So I bought one...
Going from the mixer to the 4-track, I would expect the sound from the main outs to be better than from the headphone socket. I would guess that the signal from the headphone out is weaker.
I've got the DT250's. I bought them after reading about them being headphones you could monitor on in a pinch. They sound good, but I don't use them for monitoring (a mix). They emphasize the bass, push vocals right up and mess with the overall balance - just like any other headphones. I'm glad...
On straight ahead rock songs I found panning at 9 and 3 o'clock resulted in a loss of power, so I started panning at 10 and 2 or even closer in.
Buffalo Bob: nosey enquiry: what are you recording on? I'm thinking of going back to my Tascam 424, with the idea of relearning the basics and...
The Joe Meek VC3Q might be a possibility for the pre-amp. Around the $150 mark I believe. Don't know about the keyboard.
The VC3Q has been talked about quite a bit on this board lately, so if you want to know more about it you could use the Search function.
And there's a review here...
PC recording isn't that difficult. I'm not technical at all but I get by. On the other hand PCs can be trouble as you know.
The Roland stand alone digital recorders to date have been infamously complicated to use. I don't know that model you mentioned. Maybe it's an improvement on its...
I just read yesterday someone here on the board saying compressors can't really be used via the aux sends and returns, they need to be used via inserts or patched between the multitracker and the CD recorder. Where you fit optical cables into that I don't know, though.
As I understand it, the powered mixer would be the type to avoid when home recording. They're designed for live performance. I recall someone saying they're noisy. Analog or digital? Phew. Couldn't say. Except maybe digital maybe outside your price range. An analog stalwart only just outside it...
