if you have NERO burning software it will convert mp3 to .wav automatically when you choose your mp3s and go tu burn them as AUDIO CD....you don't have to convert mp3 to .wav files and then burn .wav files....just burn mp3s it will covert as well for you (i'm sure some other pieces of software...

for what you want, I'd suggest M-Audio's Delta44 soundcard...4 ins 4 outs, bal/unbal (-10/0/+4)....and it's in your price range I think...
