Hmm, yeah, the problem being that I dont like the distorted tones my crappy little amp gives out. But its clean tone is not so bad. So I figure something digital would be better. I just dont know where to find anything decent.

I have an audiophile 2496 sound card, installed, and an audiobuddy preamp. Now, how do I connect them? The Audiobuddy has xlr outs and 1/4line outs I think. And the ins of the soundcard are female rca. Do I need an adapter or what? How does all this work?

I'm worried about the hum I am hearing about the valve junior combo, so maybe I will look into getting something to plug the head model into. As it is supposed to have much less noise. So with that in mind, how much do cabs usually go for? Would it be possible to find a small one for 50 bucks...
