When I've had to buy new pots in the past I do my best to bring the old one with me and find it in a store somewhere so that I can physically compare the old to new. I reserve buying these kinds of things over the net as a last resort.
CAD CM217. CAD Audio - The Brand Used by Professionals!. I bought mine at GC for 60$ each (I got them on a buy one get one free sale). great mic's for the price though.
Does anyone know if this is a good buy or have any suggestions for a 2 channel external phantom power unit?http://www.kraftmusic.com/catalog/audio/microphonepreamps/248
The pros I saw in this one were that GC has it for 50$ and it functions as a extra gain stage in case more signal is needed.
You seem so to be using a very wet reverb plugin. Maybe you could use less reverb or just turn down the wet input. The entire vocal sounds like there is allot of hiss to it.
Why didn't you just position your mic's in away that the "offending sounds" were diminished or at the very least properly blended? Take moresound's advice because thats gonna be your best bet. Just position the mic's so that the entire band is balanced.
This is a little bit different but when I downloaded ASIO for all for reaper to use with my fast track pro I had bad latency problems. When I uninstalled ASIO for all and started using the audio device settings that came with the fast track pro drivers did the issues go away. Anyway try...
I'm not following what your problem is, could you please simplify it. All I've really gathered is that the monitored sound is different than that of the actual recorded sound. I'm just not sure if i'm following you correctly.
Why not just go with a usb interface? they're just as good aren't they? A usb interface that meets this criteria is the fast track ultra. Also only going with firewire its going to limit your options. The one I suggested is retail for about 350$ new and is really pretty good for what it is/does.
I personally like to get old shells and put great pickups in them. Other than that I think allot of squire products get a bad rap. My squire thinline telecaster (300$) with duncan pickups or my girlfriends squire j-bass(200$). Both of these sound great for being budget instruments.
I have a fender bassman 60 and it has a direct out on the back for just this sort of thing. The tweeter makes the brights sound great without taking away from from the low end.
When you say average that implies "Baritone" range not American Idol tenor range. Also your genre is very limiting, because all of the good recording techniques have been created by Satan worshipers.
I started out as a guitarist before learning to play the bass guitar(without a pick!) and more recently the drums, which I find to be the most enjoyable. I've also spent years in various choirs.
That sounds dangerous! Although after resoldering a capacitor and one of the power supply wires my amp is fixed. It may be a crappy tiny little amp but its fixed! I only say crappy because it is made by randall and it came with a washburn guitar, the speaker on the amp even says so. This...
