My daughter has that lamp in her BR, I think we got it at walmart. Didn't use colored lights tho, that does look pretty cool. Great room you got there, I bet it sounds awesome in there!
Wow nice job man, that looks awesome! You got the roxul at lowes right off mansell / 400? I totally gotta do something, my new room sounds like a big closet :D My place was well treated in WI but I got nothing now... I tracked some vox one time since I moved here and can hear what a world...
That looks great! I plan on building something similar when I get my next more permanent place. My thought is almost exactly the same, but I'm also going to add 1 or 2 rollaway rack/cabinets for the sides, so I can sit inside a U-shaped work space with desk surface all the way around.
Overdubs are no prob, the DAW makes up for it and everything stays in perfect sync. Monitoring the live inputs with vst fx, yeah you CAN hear the lag sometimes. I dont really notice it on reverbs, but delays are just a hair slow, you can tell on other fx something's weird about it. I always...
LOL by the time I was done reading this thread, I forgot we were talking about 5w amps :D I like little amps, I have a VJ head that's my go-to amp in the studio. I run it thru one side of a stereo 4x12 with v30's, it sounds awesome! It's amazingly loud for 5w, I still dont really understand...
That's a nice piece, but it's out of his price range. You can get a couple FP's off craigslist for $400-450, that's what I did. Theyre good units, and they have preamps too so that's another plus. A lotta ppl around here use FP's.
Nope, guitar pedals output a signal the same level as your guitar. So you can plug it into a guitar amp. If you have a guitar amp with a line-out, that will work. I can't really recommend DI's, I have POD's for guitar and bass, both of which can output an amp level or line level signal. I...
Your guitar doesn't put out a line-level signal. You need a DI box or a POD, or a headphones jack, something with a much stronger signal. A headphones jack will give you a stereo signal, so you'll need a TRS -> 2x TS, or a TRS -> 2x RCAs + the adapters, or something similar. Your mixer will...
I haven't had a lot of different monitors, but I did own b2031a's for several years. I got rid of em not because I had any problem with em, but because MF had krk rokit 8's on the stupid-deal-of-the-day, and I wanted to KNOW if the better reputation brands had better sound, and I knew I could...
thanks, but if everyone else played lights and camera angles like I did, I'd rank at the bottom again :D Go thru the thread and you'll see a LOT of great places that blow me away,
lol it's funny cuz it's true :D
I'm of the school that shitty plugins are better than shitty hardware, so if you dont wanna put a lotta $$ into it, do it in the box. If you're a millionaire, unmarried, or otherwise have a lot of extra $, you can proly get the best possible sound with hardware...
POD's have a switch on em that lets you select if you're running it into an amp, or direct into whatever. The 'direct' setting adds the speaker sims, the 'amp' setting just send the signal as-is.
I have a BV-120 head that actually sounds pretty good imo. I'm not pushing it thru a crate cab...
What DAW software is best? They're 95% the same thing. Which ever one you learn on is the best one. I have cubase cuz LE came with my 1st interface, so that's what I learned on. If I had a digi 001 or something, I'd be on protools. If I had nothing I'd go with reaper cuz it's cheap and...
I've been on amd cpu's since my 1st DAW, and I've had zero problems with it. Currently using AMD x2 6000+ and I never even come close to bogging down the cpu. Even on my biggest projects, which are about 20 tracks with a couple plugins on each, and a couple heavy duty vsti's - the 'vst...
