Panning: Infront of the kit, or behind the kit?

Wow. Give this one a rest. Search for the threads that have already been made about this. I vote there should be a sticky thread listing all the topics you should not ever post about: -Drum Panning -Egg Carton Treatment -Guitar Panning -Instrument EQing and other processing (without sound...

    Computer to TV

Sadly it is not. :( It has yellow and white A/V inputs. I don't really care about appearance, I just want the space on my monitor.

    Computer to TV

Hey guys, I have a bit of a problem. My TV only supports A/V cables. My computer only has 1 VGA spot (which I need for my monitor) and neither have SVideo. Is there any way I can use a USB to A/V to run my monitor and my TV at the same time? I would like to have my mix window on the TV. Thanks!

Rock/Screamo track: would really appreciate some feedback!

Sounds really awesome dude. This is the kind of sound I would like to get from the band I will be recording soon. I did notice some pumping on the compressor, so maybe knock the threshold back a tiny bit.

    loser - remix

Well I guess it's entirely what you want anyway. :D I agree, the toms are great in this mix.

    loser - remix

Oh, I was expecting the Beck song, which you would do well covering by the way. The new mix sounds okay. I think the vocals could come up. The snare seems kind of far back in the mix and ambient. I can't describe it... kind of like the kick notes are "|" and the snare notes are like "," if...

    Best recording software

All those other DAWs are gateway daws to Reaper. :D But in all seriousness, an amazing program. I like it better than Cubase and Sonar.

PoeticIntensity Original - Keep Fallin' Down

Not really much to say on this one. I think the guitars could be a bit quieter. The drum and bass sounds are really good. Your singing is actually really good on this. A few pitchy spots, but that's about it. I'm not sure if you really care about arrangement, but the song kind of drags on...

    Screamo Vox? EXCITING!!

I would use a really high quality dynamic mic, like the Shure SM7B. Lots of compression and some EQ. It all depends on what you're looking for. Generally, you want a very dry sound. Not much room noise.

    The Lazeria Jam

Whoa. 0.0 It kind of reminds me of Les Claypool's solo stuff with akward pan effects. "altered" yep.

    Firewind (Featuring Joe Mizzi)

I think the guitars sound a bit scooped. I would like to hear some more mids. I like the vocal processing, but they are a little loud. That's about it. The rest of the song sounds good.

Facing Worlds, a new metal tune to love and hold and cherish

Listening on headphones. Sounds pretty good. I think the guitars could be a bit bigger. This would be a good quad tracked guitar song. I think an exciter on the mix would open this up a lot. Good job.
