Ovation came out with a semi flat back a while back.It's been ages since I played one and you most certainly don't see as many around as you did years back.

I have a friend who plays left handed upside down.He had to buy a left handed guitar,convert it to right handed,just so he could play it left handed.

Why is a left handed guitar not an option?

Because of the layout,the voicings on a mandolin will sound different along with the sound of the double strings. A ukulele is closer to a guitar,but because the top string is high,you again get a different voicing than a guitar with a capo.

Mandolin plays like an upside down inverted guitar,if you can get your head around that.Don't fool yourself,learn how to play it the right way.

It really doesn't matter,it's just a matter of personal preference.I use a pick,my fingers or both depending on the song,there is no wrong or right just what you like.

Most non-musicians don't know the difference,and I'll take a guy who can play with a Squier over a guy who can't with a Gibson.

I do more than 16 tracks simultaneous with plugs and synths with a 10 year old PC at low latency.I would hope almost any decent new computer should handle that. I just assumed CPUs weren't an issue anymore.:confused:

I would say go with the Epiphone.Get a higher end model and you probably wont even want to switch pickups.The low end Epi stuff is pretty weak IMHO. I have an Epi LP DC with P90s and a Coronet.I switched out the pickups on the Coronet because they were terrible,the pickups on the LP are ordinary.

I ended up buying that because it seemed to be a pretty good price.I went through it briefly and it looks like every thing I need and more.If I get some time and motivation I may actually put it to use.Thanks for the suggestion.

I think Ovations are great guitars for playing live but horrible for recording.

That would explain a lot.:D I hope things work out regardlesss of what you do,but as others have pointed out,time is your greatest ally.You don't have to buy a guitar this second.Keep checking and comparing prices.Myself I would prefer to try an acoustic hands on. Most of all I think eveyone...

When it comes to low priced acoustics,your best bet is to head down to the store and sort through them,used and new.Play them with your eyes closed and don't buy a guitar because of the way it looks,at that price range at least.I've got a Yamaha six string and a Seagull twelve string that play...
