I liked the song. It's original sounding. I'm not qualified to tell you exactly what it needs, but I'd cut some low end off most of the instruments and brighten it up a bit. It's a little lacking in the sparkle department. Cool song though.

Like anything the more you do it the better you'll get. A few basic vocal lessons will probably help you learn to maximize your vocal potential

I think the vocal level is fine, but could use some more heart for sure.

It's not bad, but there's a lot you can do to fix it up a bit. The drums sound a bit buried to me. Not a bad performance though. Just keep working on the mix till you give up lol. Call it done and move on to the next song. You'll get better with time.

Thanks. It's actually supposed to be the dining room lol. I live in an apartment so as you can tell most of my set up is based on small apartment style jamming. It does what ever the hell I tell it to! Gonna add some more midi controllers, keyboards etc, but that's about it.

I'll have to work that out. I'm going to end up having a real drummer over to play the drums. So no telling how they'll end up. Thanks for the reply man! I'll see what we can come up with and post it once I'm done with it.

I'm working on a split metal album with a friend and think I got a decent rough mix. Wondering if the guitars will pass or if I should record them better. It was a pain in the butt and not an easy task. Might now sound like it, but the tempo is fast as hell and hard to keep up with...

What up with it? This is my first recording in 6 or 7 years... So kinda feels like I'm starting over from the beginning. Could have swore I use to be better at this stuff... lol

I use to practice scales and modes. I would go over and over them trying to memorize everything. Never did me one bit of good. I found doing specific movements and working on technique was more effect for improving my playing. I don't follow any theory or anything. I kinda just come up with shit...

Thank you dudes. Guilds have grown on me over the years. It's not anything like most of the acoustic I've had. It is it's own beast. Sounds like no other guitar I've heard. Big open and chimey. Rings out really pretty, but doesn't have the low end growl of a Martin. It's got an amazing sound though.

How yall like my Acoustic guitar? It plays a lot like an electric. Pretty sweet. :D
