    deville 410 getting more bottom

i have a 40 watt deluxe and it is way louder than a typical 40 watt amp. i would assmume the 410 is too. from what i've heard messing around with it at guitar center it is pretty loud.

    Ovation Balladeer plugged in.

    1) a pickup will never sound like the unplugged version of the guitar. 2) plastic will never sound like wood. 3) an electric guitar amp will rarely provide a good sound for an acoustic guitar.

    scrubbing

no scrubbing has nothing to do with noise reduction. it is just sorta like fastforwarding and listening to a tape at the same time in order to locate a specific section.

Is anyone using the Power Mac G5 for recorcing/mixing?

i have a good pc with XP...never had a recording problem...update the software about once a month it takes about 3 minutes and the computer does all the work...unless you're using a mac only software package or you want to impress your friends i'd say go with an XP computer.

    I sing like an amputee!

i'm not an amputee, but i still don't use my arms and legs much when i record vocals. i would assume my voice would suck just as much with or without arms and legs. i don't sing like an ampute, i sing like a manate.

for how long can you leave a B1 or any similar mic plugged in with phantom power ON?

just to reassure you paul, dynamic mics won't be hurt by phantom power. they don't need it, but they don't mind it either.

Filling out a flexible mic locker for voice

i use an NTK for a lot of people. i'm not too sure how useful it would be if i had a locker like you're describing, but i use it for many male vocals.

    mucho stupidity onstage

wow, that's about the longest post i've ever seen here. i use the stock footswitches to run my effects, and i'm constantly getting the reverb and distortion and effects buttons mixed up, so i've put tape on the board and marked with glow in the dark nail polish. it works great.

    Gibson BluesHawk

the pick up configurations make it really versitile. i used to be in a metal band and one of the guys used it! i wouldn't recommend it for metal, but for most any other sort of rock it is really cool. enjoy! aren't new toys fun...even if you're not a kid anymore?

    fender pro reverb amp

yeah it is still really loud at 25 watts, but it distorts way earlier which is really what i wanted, and it has a different tone. i think the 1/4 power switch is good and does exactly what it should. but, it doesn't cut the volume in 1/4 it really cuts it by maybe 20-30%.

    fender pro reverb amp

thanks! i'm glad i went with the bigger amp too. it has a 1/4 power switch, so i can run it at 25 watts in the house so i don't blow up the room. yeah 80 lbs :0

Chinese Manufactured Mics-for the sake of newbies.

yeah, i've spent a lot of time in china, and more in taiwan. but i've noticed and talked to a number of business men in china about the attitudes of the workers. they all agree that under a wage set economic system (basically modified communism), there is no incentive for the worker to work...

    fender pro reverb amp

i went ahead and got the 100watt twin. it sounds awesome. i've had it for a few hours and i already love it. we'll see if this lasts. but so far i highly recommend it, unfortunatly they are being discontinued. the 65' reissue will stay for a while from what i've heard. i opened up the...

    I learned to play...

do not buy any martin under the d-18. they are all laminated wood with like a 40 piece headstock. the neck will bow, the top will bow, and the finish is not good. they are $150 guitars with a $350 logo on the head. avoid them. i like martins more than any other acoustic guitars, but a $500...
