One thing I did on a recent project was to pump the recorded tracks to the bands PA system and they sang without headphones. I used a Beta 58 or something and there wasn't much bleed at all, as long as you experiment with placement. I was actually very suprised. It worked out very well for the band.

I'm not in front of the software at the moment, but there is a button in preferences / vst plugins (I think) that is labeled something along the lines of: "Suspend VST3 plug in processing when no audio signals are received". Turn that sucker off, it helped me.

Yeah I could have, but at pretty much the same time that my 1010 went I upgraded to a Mac Pro, so the PCI card wouldn't have worked anyway. Actually M-Audio told me that the Delta series has a lifetime warranty so they will fix for free, just haven't gotten around to it yet as it is pretty low...

I ran into the same issue last year, my Delta 1010 blew one of the caps. I bought a Echo Audiofire 12 and never looked back. My ears aren't "golden" enough to notice a difference, but the good news is I can't hear nay difference :)

I'l tell you that I had my 1010 racked with lots of extra space, so I think their excuse is bunk.

I have used a delta 1010 on my mac w/ Cubase for many years. No problems. Are you sure you have current drivers installed? I had no problems starting things up.
