I have K77 AKG heaphones and when I connect them into my AudioBox Usb (PreSonus) interface, I hear an ANNOYING creeking sound.
The thing is, that if I connect it to the "Main Out", Left/right, there's no annoying sound, but I can only hear Left/right...
When I connect it into the "Headphones"...
that's the thing tho! I do sing well, but I LOVE hip hop, and it just feels weird to have a melody, a beat, but not at least holding one or two notes while talking..
and just btw, is it weird that I dont freestyle? (out of having vocabulary problems, i have basic English knowledge but it's...
Yes but when I know I have to hold on to a certain note I do it, when i don't I can't really make a full loud sound without hitting the chords. That's why I qant to know whether rappers hold on to certain notes or not...?
* and about the autotune it's just a way of editing sound, and in my...
hmm this is what I do when I rap, i choose a lil note range and sing in it/rap on it.
But it makes it sound a little too planned.. I have hear eminem (EVERY song/freestyle ever) and he seems to have a very singing alike sound, but it still sounds like he's using his throat..
In a song I can...
your signing good. Any improvements from here and on would be better made in front of a vocal coach. We can tell you something, he can show you and if it's a good one, he can make you understand it well.
You are on the right path, your singing very good.
Hello, I have been writing rap for a while and basically started with music because I wanted to be a rapper. Then I also decided to get my voice developed and started going to a coach.
Now that I'm alittle more advanced in the subject I still have something I'm not sure of.
When I sing (when I...

and yes I do have a mic stand and I use FL studio 9.1
1) * Do I need a compressor (like the ART PAC Tube preamp said to be used with such a mic) OR A PREAMP?? or I could just use Fruity Loop's built in...
Ok, in the light of the information you gave me:
1) Do I need a compressor (like the ART PAC Tube preamp said to be used with such a mic) or I could just use Fruity Loop's built in Compressor? (Fruity Compressor)
2) I am a Baritone (between Tenor and Bass) and I need the microphone to record...
Hello everyone.
I use FL studios to record and make beats. The problem is what when I hit record, and start singing over the beat, I hear myself in the headphones...
How do I toggle this off/on ?? I mean I would like to hear how does the reverb effect me before I record but while recording, I...
I am using a very cheap and crappy USB mic right now...
I have been saving some money to buy a new one and now is probably the best time ^^
The thing is, im not sure which is better/ worse....
** I need a microphone to record Vocals (raps, singing)**
I have been looking around and found this...
Ok everybody thanks alot! You all are awesome for helping and taking the time to explain. I LOVE this forum and the community is amazing. Thanks alot, I'll probably be around :)
Thanks a lot, but one last thing: is it ok that the compressor doesn't actually change the track visually? Because I'm not sure whether it works or not...
Well yeah, I kinda expected the recording to change..
If I recorded something, then add the compressor to the channel and change settings, I'd expect the recording to visually change, so that all the waves would be the same loudness....
Like the example showed, a before compression and after...
So gain reduces the loudness of the whole track then? While ratio affects only the parts that go above the threshold?
Also, if compression is done after recording, why doesn't my recording change?
I record, I go to the mixer, choose the channel I used to record, add "Fryity Compressor" but...
Hello, I am using FL studio and I have a few questions...
As I see it, the compressor is a way to make the recorded vocals sound even and hit the same lowest / highest loudness.
So first off, am I right?
Secondly, do I use the compressor while recording? Or do I just add it to the channel...
Ok but when I try to record vocals over already recorded ones, it records the first one into it again, making an awfuly loud noise... (as if I had feedback, even tho I wear headphones and it ain't possible)
How do I make it stop? And why no need in Edison? Is there another way to clean noise...
