    What is this click/pop?

It sounds like a digital pop to me. Maybe the EMU's AD converters. Try this. Unplug the USB cable from the EMU & Mac. Plug a 1/8" cable from the headphone jack of the EMU to your Mac's line input and record. See if you still get the pops/clicks.

    I could`nt resist trying it (GLS ES57)

I have 2 ES57's and I love them. You really can't beat them for the price. I also have an SM57 and an Audix i5. I did a comparison of the three quite some time ago................it's here on hr.com somewhere.

Absolutely Tmix. I use them on our FOH mixer to record services. You get me the lengths and we'll work something out. You can PM me if you'd like. We can combine shipping on the cables so shipping cost won't be very much. Thanks for your interest. :D

Editing a Dual Mic'd Guitar Track

If it were me..... I would bounce each stereo track down to one mono track. That way you're only dealing with 2 tracks instead of 4. Then, depending on your software, you should be able to group tracks so that you only have to physically edit one track, but it affects both. Or, now that I...

FS: Insert to Direct Out Cables.........and others

I was in need of some Insert to Direct Out Cables, but didn't want to spend $11 for a 6 inch cable so I started making my own. I've also decided to start selling them (new and unused). I'll make you custom lengths. They are made from Neutrik connectors and Pro Co cables. High quality stuff...

    Quick question about headphones..

Your mic needs a preamp first, then compressor. It doesn't look like there are inserts on the RME so you would have to do something like this if you want to use an outboard compressor.... Mic -> Preamp on RME -> out of RME -> outboard compressor -> back into RME And unless you have pretty...
