    it consists of an electromagnetic pick up, an amplifier circuit and a speaker coil. the pick up picks up the vibration of the string - ie the pitch - that gets amplified and the speaker coil sends out an electromagnetic field vibrating at the same frequency.

    Bridge/intonation set-up on semi-acoustic?

    one way to do it is to set the saddles on both e strings in the middle and then move the bridge back or forth to set the intonation on those strings first. then you do the rest of the strings.

    thanks for the input tl, i realise i have to do some more work on the vocals but this is a long and difficult process since my singer lives 3000 miles from me. i'm not too fond of what deessers do with his voice so i'm trying to find a compromise here.
