    Control surface confusion

Thanks for the help. I deided to bite the bullet, and ditched cool edit for a copy of CakeWalk, as this seems the next logical step for multi-tracking software. I know the behringer is more compatible with this as well, so once i have the money i'll get one, as there's nothing that can match it...

    Shure SM57 vs. Sennheiser e609

Shure SM57 is just sooooo solid, especially for live work in micing up cabs. A total pure workhorse.

    Feedback to control surface

Cool, sounds promising. So it does work in AA, i'll have to take a gamble as i only own CEP 2.0, and i don't know whether there's much difference. If it doesn't work i guess i could probably look at dipping into my shallow pockets for an upgrade!

    Feedback to control surface

Ok, i'm looking at getting a control surface as i mentioned in a previous post, but i need to know if (or how to find out if) CoolEdit 2.0 supports parameter feedback at all (to relay info back to the control surface so the motorized faders work on any control surface). I have looked in the help...

    Difference between SM57, SM58

Explained Superb, thanks. Just as i thought, and thats exactly what i've been doing with my 58 when i've been miking up guitar cabs. I had to buy the 58's for live vocal use. Much appreciated as i'm a little less novice now. Thanks

    Behringer BCF2000

I'm looking at buying a Behringer BCF2000 control surface to help me with my mixing. I already have a Delta 44 card for input, I do not use MIDI, i have no MIDI input and do not intend on buying one. I simply wish to use the behringer through the USB. I'm using Cool Edit 2.0 at the moment and i...

    Difference between SM57, SM58

What's the difference between an SM57 and an SM58, and is it worth spending out on an SM57 if you already own a couple of SM58's (as i do)?

    Budget Condenser trouble

Thats good. I might go for the M179 then. I'd still like to know what the difference is between the GXL3000 and the M179, and what difference the slightly larger capsule makes, more out of interest, so i know what to look (listen) for in when choosing a mic. Also (again out of interest), what...

    Budget Condenser trouble

Hi. I'm a bit of a beginner (a lot of a beginner). I'm now looking for a budget omnidirectional/multi-pattern condenser. I've had my eye on the CAD GXL3000, but could also push to a M179 (that i've seen on Ebay for $245 including postage from the US to the UK). First off, what's the real...
