I have a fairly decent range in full voice but not in falsetto. I can hit a low F (fet 1, low E string) and up to a high D (fret 10 high E string) That's just shy of 3 octaves but can only reach a G in falsetto when I've warmed up
edit: just picked up the guitar to test myself again and I hit...
Thanks, glad you can appreciate what I was aiming to do with this song. The hook is a work in progress. The hardest this about writing the hook for a hip-hop song is that if its not extremely catchy, nobody will really listen to your verses. I've got some Ideas in the pipes, will post once its a...
Not sure exactly what you mean. Sometimes I find that in hip-hop lyrics it can be hard to see exactly how the rhyme schemes work until you hear them being performed. If you're saying that every line doesn't have the same number of syllables then that's a good thing because then my lines would be...
Thanks guys! Yeah I tend to mix it up with my writing. Sometimes I write lyrics where there are structured story lines, characters and the like but this one is more a commentary that is supposed to emulate what a person's inners thoughts would be like. I think a person's deep inner thoughts...
Musically you've got some talent and definitely loads of potential!
For me, a lot of your beats are a little too "synth" sounding and your drums are very clockwork. Try learning some more humanising tricks in your beats to add some variation. As far as the horns go, old big band and orchestra...
Nice production. Swing past our myspace if you want to check out some Aussie hip-hop.

Been a while, here's a song I'm in the middle of writing
Hey all,
Its been a while since I've posted on these forums. Got a song I'm writing at the moment and I'm interested to see how much you guys can tear it to pieces.
This is a hip-hop song so the lyrics will be rapped and one thing you'll...
Seems that I got a pair of duds . What a piece of luck. Oh well even though I find them too noisy for quiet sources, they are still quite handy on loud sources so my money wasn't wasted.
When I get my bollocks together I might have a crack at the linkwitz mod ;)
Yes changing the pitch changes the note.
It will depend on what sample/instrument you have as to where c (ie c1, c2, c3. c4, c5 etc.) will correspond to on a real bass.
On a boo bass you'd be best not to go too far below c4
I disagree.
Download ramdisk drivers and create a 512MB virtual drive, this way winows can have its precious swap file. You can allways turn virtual memory off but in my experience windows gets cranky about it
Are you on crack  These mics are noisy as hell! WAAAAY too much noise for acoustic guitar.
As far as price goes they are excelent value and a handy mic in your aresenal, but you really need a decent sounding room as they are omni and are not at all forgiving to a poor recording...
I know it wasn't a real tube pre, a real tube pre costs heaps more. As for the LEDs to light up the valve, the MIC200 doesn't have those but the big vintage looking preamps they make do..
I was just making sure it didn't have to glow.
