I'm sure you are correct. My project was a short run (100 pcs.) They handle these totally different. You have the option to use the online design program where you upload your artwork and then they want you to pay extra to proof them. You can only upload pdf's. This is what I'm referring to...
The company is discmakers.com. They are telling me that I uploaded low resolution files @ 72dpi not 300dpi. That is simply not true! I have these files on my pc and they definately high resolution. When you go through the ordering process there is a $20 option to have them proof the files before...
For the life of me I can't understand why you can only upload pdf files for their artwork templates. I just did my first project and used them. The cd's were delivered today and they look terrible!! Converting the photoshop artwork to pdf pretty much killed all the colors and the smaller text on...
I've just done this as a matter of fact. We just got a group of people together (maybe 10-12) and I put a condenser across the room. Didn't really give me the effect until I found a good reverb/echo effect that worked with it and pushed the vocals to the back a bit. You just have to experiment.
I don't have one any longer, but as I recall this pre is pretty darn good for the price they go for. Those design flaws have a lot to do with why I upgraded to more expensive units. I guess it's just a trade-off you have to live with. Still a very decent 2 channel pre-amp for the price. Sorry...
I did my meter lights last night. Kind of a PITA but man do they look good!!!
Hard to capture with a camera but the led's look really great!
Take note that every other meter the polarity is reversed. Found that out after I had them all soldered in and half the lights didn't work. Good thing I...
I run my Musicman HD130 head like that most of the time. Yes, that is the only safe way to connect both channels and you do get some great flexibility with the tone settings.
Typically you run your time-based effects in the loop... delays, reverbs, choruses, tremolos, echoes. They usually sound better after the pre-amp stage and before the power amp. overdrives, wah's, boosts sound best in front of the amp. Of course this isn't everyone's opinion but for the most...
Hey guys, I ordered some blue led's and some 130 ohm resistors. I'm gonna give it a try and see how it looks. I'll post some pics here when i get around to doing it.
Oh man! This forum rocks!!
Thanks so much for posting the pics. It will make life much easier for me. I think I'm definitely going with led's though. I'm thinking maybe 2 blue for each meter, not sure about that though, maybe white. Looks like there should be enough room for the led's and a...
Yes I was just looking at the manual. Couldn't really figure anything out looking at it. No hurry, I'm just working on a project right now and if I rip into this I need to put it back together the same day. Would be awesome to put led's in it, maybe I'll look into that :)
Well my trusty 320b needs a lightbulb changed on one of my main meters. Does anyone know what bulb I need for that? I have to pull my whole board out and would like to have the bulb ready before I tear into it. Not really even sure how to get to it. Must I flip the mixer over and take the back...
I gotta agree that Boogies aren't for everyone. I've gone through periods where I just couldn't seem to get a good sound out of my Mark III no matter what I tried. But after finding the right set of tubes, and the right boost pedal in front, this amp sounds awesome! Just bought a Bogner Shiva...
I agree with starting with an M-audio interface. I started with an M-audio PCI card, the 192 and it sounded good. SP B1 is also a great suggestion. Good luck!
No question about it. When I bought a Lucid a/d I listened to a few cd tracks through my Lucid and my RME fireface back and forth. It was an eye-opening experience...much, much better through the Lucid's. I guess you could always argue though that if you are tracking individual tracks you can eq...
TC Electronics G Major is under my tree this year. Sold my Boss GT8 about 10 months ago and just been using plugins through my DAW since then for effects. Looking forward to the G major.
Same two I was considering about 6 months ago. I went with the DVC, but never tried the ADL600. I was a bit dis-appointed at first because of the low gain on the dvc but quickly found out that you can run it full out if you need to and it sounds great. I don't think I will get rid of it any time...
I have one, pretty much what kojdogg said. It's really nice on acoustic guitars too. So vocals and acoustics is what I use it for most always. Yeah would be nice if it had just a bit more gain, but the limiter is very nice.
Ok, I know I'll get bashed for this but if I were you I'd pick up a set of passive Truth's for $150 and maybe you can pick up an inexpensive used amp someplace to drive them. I've been using them and they really don't sound that bad at all despite what others will say...
