I used the Lucid converters for quite some time, before switching to my Zed R16 board that I use now. I also had RME ADI converters. I preferred the Lucid's over the RME's so they got the most use unless I needed more channels. Love lucid converters!

I just sold a Shiva head a few months ago. Didn't care for it either so you're not the only one. The loop was the big let-down for me. I ended up with an Axe-FX.... something to think about. I have no regrets at all. It is awesome!

No not at all. I actually did quite a bit of research before deciding on this. You could also go with a dual or quad core system for a little bit cheaper and I'm sure it would be awesome. I just thought for a little bit more I wouldn't have to upgrade for quite some time hopefully.

From what I understand you can eq the Vienna just a bit to get it to sound like a Hamburg but you can't eq the hamburg to sound like the Vienna. I read this review somewhere I just can't remember where but this is why I went with the Vienna. They are very similar though so either would work...

Axe-fx is pretty much the only thing worth it right now, otherwise just mic your amps.

I like the ADK Vienna in that price range for a condenser. SM7b otherwise if you're looking for an all around dynamic that works great on vocals.

That's like asking what's the best car for the money. Depends how much money we are talking about. You would get the best feedback if you give a ballpark figure on your budget.

I'd get two adk vienna's. They are surprisingly cheap now the last time I looked on ebay. I wouldn't worry about getting them matched either.

The new Chickenfoot release is out on lp also. I saw it at BestBuy but then when I went back they were all gone. It's a double lp and has and extra song that isn't on the cd.
