I wasn't really sure what to expect from a tube swap. I DID commit to swapping out the MXL OEM tube with the aforementioned RCA. They both sound pretty quiet. Gainwise, the RCA is smidgeon less than the OEM. The best description I can come up with is that the RCA track I made sounded as it were...
