if memory serves those are micro switches with a little plast button over it... the button center is flexing from what's essential a frame... i susect in this case the button is loose from said frame and the only way to correct it is to pop it open and replace the button... these types of...

i suspect that matched outputs are less of an issue in cathode biased amps... the reason being that it essentialy floats above that ground as a function of it's own internal resistance... as opposed to being forced through use of a bias voltage to some operating point and expecting two tubes to...

check out the plumbing section of the loacl home depot type joint... your looking for flanges like they use for mounting grab rails for gimps and the like... find one thats the size of your mic stand... shorten and thread as neccesary... et' voila....

continuity is about all you'll learn from it... good to have a meter around though... as to the cables i bet if ya simply cut off the ends by about an inch or two and resolder the connector back on you'll be up and running...

useing qtips to clean sockets isn't very practicle... it wont get all the way down in there... spray the socket and wiggle the tube in while still wet... oh and isn't hexane flammable???:eek:

ok... listen up this is your problem... most band instruments dont have a true slur... each note is articulated to some degree... the trick is to play each instrument in one part at a time so ya dont get tempted to use paralell 3rds that are slurred... try to think before starting about what...
