well if those are the mics so beit.. and no i would try to go to dynamics presonally... i go with a simple x/t pair... bringing the mics closer would controll the legth of the room... but changing the room is best... is this a dedicated session or are you doin g a concert??? see if they have any...
well i can tellyou that it worksw here... win7 64 ult...cubase.. not sure i can help but i'll mention some possibilities... most controll issues com down to being able to assign the damn thing in your prog... you didn't mention what you're using... but someone will know the key strokes... nad...

IMO... 2 things to keep on mind... it takes more than printer ink to make it pro/monitor... saying it's hi-fi doesnt make itr so... that being said... dont shy away from used stereo stuff... ya may need to edumacate yourself some on what brands to consider but it's worth the trip... check out...
am surprised you can find it at all for current/recent musicals... classical is quite different though ... if your interested in orchestration check out the rimski korsakov text... it's the bible for such things...
the whole thing with singing is in breathing correctly... as to stretching range??? if this coach hasn't been able to increase it... your probably at or close to your limit... if not lose the coach... and 2 8va's is pretty good range... alotta folks dont have that... perhaps you need to change...
first to check the other speaker... put it where the one worked... if the "bad" one n ow works... then it's hook up issue... make sense??? then describe your set up... are you coming out of a soundcard?? a firewire interface??? got the correct cables???

to the op... if you're trying a condenser mic go back to a dynamic.. and angled off center...
given the pmc's i heard were impressive... it's absurd to recommend them in a thread where the op was asking about speakers that sold for less than $300/pr IIRC...
cory... what makes ya think ya need one??? of those mentioned only the lynx is really "known" for it's clock... conventional wisdom is that unless you're needing to sync up a multi room situation ya dont really need it... now if your wondering which to make master for say two little...

btw most of the craftsmen stuff used to be made by fluke... today?? not sure... i've got a fluke 77 setting mere feet away... always handy...
i used pbm 6.5's for several years... nothing wrong with them and are better than most in that price range... they are a little shy in the bottom and benefit greatly from a sub especially if doing rap etc... and the tweeters are a little fragile... i used to buy them in bulk cause my partner...
