You will most certainly be missing, pitch and mod wheels and aftertouch. You may be missing velocity sensitivity. Other than that, any keyboard with a MIDI out will work to some extent. Especially for step recording. Carl

Tracks and channels, like MIDI and audio are two different animals. There must be a place in your software for MIDI setup or MIDI preferences. You need to assign the output to channel 10 or give it an "send all" setting. Carl

Your drum machine is probably recieving on channel 10. I'll bet your card is sending to channel 1 only. You could either configure your card to send on all 16 channels or just channels 10 and 1. Carl
