    LesDynamic - Loco Motives

Thanks! We have just recorded an EP, with the old songs. They are kinda different(I joined the band after they wrote them), but it's still my voice. I'll post some songs when they are out! Gonna take a while before this one gets recorded ;) Hehe.

New Hard Rock/Metal singer ... tips

After listening to some of your tracks, I feel like your singing is a bit too "feeble". You should put more energy into it, more "punch". You are also out of tune a bit too often. You should work on that :) Just my thoughts!

    Need feedback

Well.. to me it sounds more like a "whispering growl". It lacks punch. It laks the aggresitivity that should come with "growl" or "screaming" type of vocals. I think your growl needs some more practise. Use your "stomach" when you growl. If you growl without any anger, passion or feeling, it...

Metal/Rock - Do you really need head voice for the style?

That depends on the song! I agree with you, but still disagree. Haha! You can train your headvoice to become more powerful. Mine isn't though, need to improve it. As everything else, headvoice is a tool. sometimes it fits, sometimes it doesn't.

Is it too late to learn theory/music composition?

Hehe, i know I have a weird sight on it. But as i said, this was all MY opinions. Too much theory becomes an obstacle for ME! It's what works for me! :) I play in band with a guy that focus on analyzing everything, he's very theoretical. Him and I work very well togheter, we work in different...

One song, one lyric, different singers.

I have this idea that i thought could be interesting. We have a lyric, music to it, then everyone that want to can dowload the song, record themselves singing it, and post it here! I say we could use the community to make the lyric, AND the music? Is this interesting for anyone...

Is it too late to learn theory/music composition?

No matter if you are 17, 19, 30 or 80! It's never too late to learn! :) But, in my opinion, to know theory isn't that important. the most important when writing music is your ears! You have, as i understand, written a lot of songs, and through that you have learnt a lot of theory, unawares. As i...

Sitting or Standing - does it affect your singing?

When I play live, i always sing standing, even with acoustic guitar. I always sing better, I get more air, have more control over my voice, and as blacktino79 said before me, gives unnecessary stress and on the diaphragm! :)

Metal/Rock - Do you really need head voice for the style?

Even if you dont use yor head voice, i think you should concentrate on everything. It makes you more confident with your voice, and you learn to control your voice much better. AND, im pretty sure you are going to grow in musical taste, away from just Nirvana/'Tallica/Slipknot, and then you may...

    Moonlit Meadow

Hey! I just wanted to share, and hopefully get some feedback on this lyric I wrote some weeks ago. I usually write very "dark" and "gloomy" texts, but on this I started with the intention of writing something a bit "happier" and "joyful". After some time brooding and thinking, i came up with...

Whos is your favorite current Producer?

My favourite producer must be Steven Wilson. Everything he touches just becomes gold. All of his albums, both Porcupine Tree and the solo-stuff has an fantastic sound, as with the Opeth-albums hes mixed, no-man, blackfield, the two latest anathema albums. With a pair of good B&W-speakers.. its...
