An example of ears going 'blind'

Rob, if this is a backing track for a live show, once you get the musical timing right, maybe the thing to do would be to get the best mix and call it a day. If the singer is all over the place timing and tonally, I don't see how you can predict and mix for that unless she is there performing...

An example of ears going 'blind'

I like the composition. The drums sounded OK to me, just too loud. At about 4:00, when the vocal gets louder, everything sounds closer to balanced, but the drums are still a little overpowering. Rich may have the right idea with the shelf and high pass. Everything else sounded pretty good.

    Post Your Analog Recordings Here...

They both sound really good. I think the vocals could come up a little because I had a hard time understanding the lyrics on "Noise", "Away" was better, but still a little low. I'm looking forward to hearing the finished mixes.

    I Think My Dog's A Democrat

I don't have a problem with people commenting or critiquing. In fact, I hope everyone can get a good laugh out of it, I know I have! But in the interest of causing less heart burn in the future, I'm all ears, where should I have posted it?

    I Think My Dog's A Democrat

The "living wag" was pretty funny. And the dogs did vote, wouldn't tell me who for though. In retrospect, I probably should have put this in the political comments thread, or Rob's most embarrassing performance thread. Such is life...

    I Think My Dog's A Democrat

Ha, ha, I know about all the issues, I also didn't tune the guitar and the performance is not so good because I'm watching the dogs play fighting on the couch the whole time I'm playing. It's a video recorded on a cell phone, and I did it for fun to send to a friend. I appreciate the advice and...

    I Think My Dog's A Democrat

This is a Bryan Lewis song that I learned a few years ago. It's a funny song and I enjoy playing it for friends and at party's, etc. Turns out, my dogs hate the song. They always bark, howl, or carry on when I play it. I don't know if there's some frequency that bothers them, or they actually...

Trainwreck of a music video on youtube

Usually, when two or more musicians are all playing different things, it's called Jazz.

Times like these we learn to rack again

That's a lot of stuff to lug around. It's easier when it's all in one box.

Guess what happened to me in December? UFO's Drones..just hear me pics video

Happily, no. But, Earth is probably like Tik Tok to the extraterrestrials... "Hey Martin, lets swing by Earth on the way home and see what those goobers are up too. And turn on the flashers this time, that really gets them going"! :ROFLMAO:

I bought a crazily cheap 'Neumann' TLM103 and it's really decent!

LMAO! I would think it would be more like $200B/yr, considering 90% of the world population would be buying it!

I bought a crazily cheap 'Neumann' TLM103 and it's really decent!

Mine showed up yesterday. It will be about a week before I get to try it out. I don't have a Neumann, so I won't know if it sounds like one. All I'm interested in, is that it sounds good. If it sounds good, it is good, IMO.

I bought a crazily cheap 'Neumann' TLM103 and it's really decent!

Lots of companies will put your company name/logo on a their product for you. Some of the items my company produced were actually OE for several US auto manufacturers. Unless a company pays for exclusive rights for the product/paid for tooling, design etc., you are free to sell your own or to...

I bought a crazily cheap 'Neumann' TLM103 and it's really decent!

I don't know, maybe it's because certain companies don't allow their products/or retailers to sell in some countries. Back in the '80's I wanted a particular Icom radio that was not available in the US because of the frequency range. It was available in the UK and I had a buddy that flew for a...

I bought a crazily cheap 'Neumann' TLM103 and it's really decent!

Welcome deal was $12.76 USD to the US. Was going buy two but they would only allow one. Went back to order a second to see what the regular price would be and it was $20.21 USD. Still pretty good, but I'll just stick with one to try it out.

    Bought a 'damaged' Tele

I bought an American Telecaster Pro from the local Sam Ash about 3 years ago. It was used but looked like new. It even had all the paper work in the case. I looked it over and didn't see a mark on it. It was about $500 less than a new one and I asked the sales person what was wrong with it. He...
