Can You Guys Critique These Drums

I'm coming back from a mixing hiatus and I'm planning on doing a lot more live drum sounds in the future. Please feel free to tear this apart. Even the smallest critique is highly encouraged. Thank you. https://soundcloud.com/bdam123/drum-test

    Keyboards, Interface, and DI

So I have a number of keyboards that I want to hook up into my PTHD setup. I previously had plans to route all of them into directly into my interface after they hit a Coleman MS6 Aux Switcher (I have 6 keyboards that will be routed into a pair of inputs). Then it dawned on me, would the...

    Treating a Unique Room

I'm back with another little question guys. I can save a little bit if I choose to go with 1x5 wood panels to build frames but I sacrifice an inch of airspace I would have gotten with the 1x6 panels. Is the extra inch of airspace worth the money? Or is an inch difference not significant?

    Vocal Booth Treatment

Also, when you say "everywhere" does that mean cover all surfaces completely? As in I shouldn't be able to see bare wall?

    Vocal Booth Treatment

What do you think about recording guitar amps in there. Is there something I should keep in mind for that application?

    Vocal Booth Treatment

I have a room that I want to use as a vocal booth and maybe also do some guitar cab recording. The room is 7' 4" x 11' 4" x 10' 2". How should I treat this room to optimize it for recording?

    Treating a Unique Room

Thanks for the reply. I changed some of the plans and decided on 24" x 24" super chunks. I decided on that because I have 24" Roxul. Is that going to be overkill? Also, should I place additional panels further down walls? I'll obviously have them at the early reflection points but where else...

    Treating a Unique Room

So I just moved into a new place. I have a room that will designated as the studio that has some unique features. I was on here a few months ago asking question about my last work space so I have a basic grasp on how I should be treating the room. I have a few questions that hopefully you guys...

    Treating My New Room

I wanted to go with 4" but all I could find was 3.5" at Lowes here. What do you mean by 4" thick 4' panels? And is the fluffy pink stuff you are referring to, regular wall insulation? The rear windows are behind the listening point on either side. My back would be facing the empty wall space...

    Slate Digital's 'Trigger'

No I have not. The only way I've ever used ST is the way I described.

    Slate Digital's 'Trigger'

I just record a MIDI track directly from the V Kit. Once that is edited nicely, I put together a nice kit in AD as my "foundation". There is a function in AD that lets you route each drum to an aux thus allowing you to print each one separately to an audio track in Pro Tools. I then use the...

    Slate Digital's 'Trigger'

https://soundcloud.com/easydoesit/easy-does-it-pothead https://soundcloud.com/easydoesit/easy-does-it-pocket-full-of I did both of these tracks with Addictive Drums and Slate Trigger. My drummer played through a Roland TD 9 V Kit. I used the MIDI to get a solid foundation via AD, dumped the...
