hey i started using asio4all and when using with my daw open i get no sound out of non daw apps-media players, youtube... when connected with my soundcard i get sound out of both daw and other sources but not with asio4all which i use sometimes when im away from studio soundcard with my laptop...

Those dont work with the cards. Read only users able to use with like the magma boxes but those are crazy expensive and not work as well as running on mb. Latest mb with pci i believe is z97 which i needed more cpu power

This what was worried about, that it affects the sound beyond clicks/pops. Dont want any smearing/grain or loss of resolution in recordings which i might be harder to notice. Guess should rerecord. Thanks

yes clock mode of both my rme interface and external device. Both had their internal clocks set to master, same 44.1 sample rate, and werent synced during all the recording. but if you say jitter would have to be significant to cause any noticeable effect on the recording than ill move on...

hey little update, just tested soundcard on a different pc (32bit), and no noise. returned the card to original computer and noise still there, happens with any plugin. thoughts? thanks

its not an acoustic noise, i hear the sound on my monitors/headphones. It doesnt matter how much the system is taxed, even loading one plugin creates the noise, tried different cables, moving soundcard to another pci slot...no luck thanks
