You can play back the drum track as a midi whenever you want to listen to how it sounds. Of course, it sounds sort of fake and computerized but you can get a general idea of what you have.

To be completely honest, I can't take too much credit for production here. All the guitar tones came from my Line6 Toneport, and the drums were done with EZ drummer. Granted, I composed everything, but still, the tone quality from this thing was awesome after I spent a little time fooling...

I definitely understand the roomy comment. I turned the room and overhead mics up a bit too much I think in the mix. I will try and fix this. Thanks for the comment!

If you manage to hook up a pair of SM57's to a decent pre-amp, it CAN be used (not the best choice) to mic accoustic guitar, it just depends where you place each mic and how you EQ them. Since I'm a poor starving college student with nothing but a pair of 57's to my name, this is how i go about...

Awesome man, great job on the mix, and the song is very ominous and foreboding. The guitars sound just a little thin IMO, but that could definitely go away once you add in vocals, because everything will sit better.
