    Adding Insulation to a Cab

So I'm thinking of adding some fiberglass insulation to my Sunn 412L. What will adding insulation to this over-sized cab do? I'm trying to reduce [perceived] bass response from the cab and accordingly I recently installed casters to the cab (which helped). The cab is just incredibly bassy due to...

    What guitar is this???

I can almost guarantee that it's a Teisco. A buddy of mine collects them and based on the bar that goes over the strings above the nut and the bridge/tailpiece design scream Teisco at me.

    Some custom guitar wiring help?

You're gonna have to route from the electronics cavity to right under the bridge, snake the ground wire through, then fray the end of the wire to be in contact with the bridge and screw the bridge down on top of the frayed end of the ground wire. Wow, that was a mouthful, haha. Sounds kinda not...

    Amps?

Yeah, you gotta JUMP on that stuff. All of the Sunn gear i have right now has been shipped from out of state to me because that stuff goes pretty fast locally.

    Amps?

I've heard that Splawn makes AMAZING cabs, this true?

    Amps?

Sunn. Go on your local Craigslist and look for Sunn amps. Those are some good amps.

    2x12, 4x12, what you like?

I like what works and can take a beating. That's all that really matters to me, an oversized 2x12 or a deep, straight 4x12. SUNN O))) ALL THE WAY. I've just picked up a mid-late 70's 412L, it's a straight, deep as an Ampeg SVT 8x10e taller and wider than just about any 4x12 on the market (it...

    hss guitar recommendatons?

I suggest maybe a Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Strat and changing out the bridge position Texas Special with Seymour Duncan Hot Rails. That's what I use for a while, kept the bite of the Texas Specials in the middle and neck positions, but got the nice humbucker bite out of the Hot Rails at the...

HELP NEEDED: Tube Amp too quiet?

Maybe you're just going deaf? Haha, all of this is sound advice, my bet is on the tubes. Also, Peavey needs to come up with better names for their amps, 3120? 3 channels, 120 watts, wow...

    Ampeg ReverbeRocket Or Fender Twin?

Nothing beats stacking two Fender Twin Reverbs and bi-amping them. Plus silver face Fenders seem to be going up in value. However I've never heard an Ampeg ReverbRocket, but on the other hand I'm less than partial to Ampeg, I really hate their amps, but I love their guitars...

    Identifying a Bass

So it is. It looks like a Ric, but I wasn't sure. Well I plan to try it out first.

    Identifying a Bass

Could anyone tell me what kind of bass this is: http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/40/l_ecc9178a29021c706c6085d38781dc60.jpg I'm rather curious, I like how it looks, and I'm itching for a new bass.

    Super clean speaker for guitar?

Buy an old 60's Sunn cab with JBLs or their own Transducers in them. Pure clean tone.

    Silly Ampeg 810 question.

Yes I am sure that's the way mine is and I'm pretty sure OP's bass player has the same more recent model which I have. Probably should have asked him that...

    Silly Ampeg 810 question.

Using just the top jack, (usually black plastic) is the top 4 speakers at 4 ohms and using one of the bottom jacks (usually silver colored metal) is all 8 speakers at 4 ohms, using both the top jack and one of the bottom jacks creates dual mode which is all 8 speakers at 8 ohms, not exactly sure...

    Noise Suppresion Pedals

Didn't know that. I really was just kinda hoping it would be a buzz-reducer. It doesn't really matter anymore, I tried out a couple at Guitar Center last week, didn't really seem to do what I wanted them to do.

    Noise Suppresion Pedals

Thanks. I'll look into it, a used one is relatively cheap. I can start rebuilding my pedal board with it then.
