    If you can't monitor it yourself as you record it's pretty hard to get good levels. Also digital is way less forgiving of sudden jumps in volume than analog. Whatever way you go about it, before you press record, get each instrument you're micing up to play loud. Get a strong signal without...

    Nakamichi 550 3 Point?

    Hi Tim. I mostly record my band which is a three piece; bass clarinet/clarinet/guitar with bass and drums. I use the Nak simply because it sounds really great (IMHO). When I'm at home and I want to do some overdubs I use Pro-Tools. Do you use your 480 anymore?

    Nakamichi 550 3 Point?
