    Worst Drummers...

Peter Criss is the worst drummer ever.

where do i point my shit?

My suggestion would be to point your shit towards the water in the toilet. How far away you can stand is all about rear muscles.

how do you get more REP power

Obviously he posts alot but some people don't like what he says so he gets negative feedback.

how do you get more REP power

The question is, why would anybody want more rep power? Have they spent all their life searching for approval and support? I never understood why the hell you should want more? It's not like it does you any good. Just a silly way of measuring your dick while adding to the cunfusion. I think...

    Making Sizzle Cymbals?

You can get more or less the same sound by hooking a tiny chain to the center of your cymbal and let it hang down towards the edge of the cymbal. And you will still have your cymbal in un-drilled shape.

    M-Audio BX8 Monitors-Has anyone Tried?

You should maybe look at your monitor stands or you monitor position, as the BX8's can put out a huge bass under the right circumstances.

Hi-End Pre Recomendations for Hip-Hop Vocals

Maybe someone can make a preamp with a colorknob that goes all the way from "50 cent rap" to "Prince octave gay yells" and that would be it. Of course, the knob don't have to do anything, the placebo could do the warming. If you want vocals with attitude, lay them down. Pre has nothing to do...

    shure sm7 -- shure ksm32

Expensive is not a must, but lots of clean gain is demanded. The DMP3 would do fine for example, but I don't believe any portas has that kind of performance when the gain is all the way up. Also, they may not even provide enough gain. If you go that route however, the SM7 is a fantastic mic. I...

NEED PASSOWRD FOR MPC 3000 Drumset

Ask where you bought it. If you didn't, it's working as it should.

    sm81 or km184

I would prefer the SM81's for stereomicing, and the KM-184 for all other applications you mentioned.

    shure sm7 -- shure ksm32

If you buy the SM7, you will need a preamp with a good amount of clean gain. It will work from a decent console but I wouldn't hook it up to a cheap portastudio or anything. What are you recording through?

    KRK V4 or Rokit 6???

The V4's are very good. Even better than the V6 and V8, so don't get fooled by size.

    My point exactly.

crappy mixer EQ vs. digital EQ

Going through an extra A/D-D/A stage isn't as much of a problem as the modern myth says. I made a blindtest where most (90%ish) people (studio owners and musicians) couldn't hear any difference even at 10 generations (by one generation I mean 1 A/D and 1 D/A which means each generation has...

Recording vocals in a room with constant background noise.

Are you expecting good results by letting the actors try out as recording engineers? Hell, why not let your local carpenter fly the plane next time you wanna go somewhere. It could work.

    Snare in Centre of image?

True. What I meant is that if you have a great recording of a kit, and the snare is a little to the side, you still have a great recording of a kit. It does not "have to be in the center, or else it sucks". Btw, that "-" wasn't meant as a qoute from anyone, just an example of a silly rule.

    Snare in Centre of image?

Centered snares sounds like drummachines to me. The snare isn't in the middle of the set to begin with, so why the hell would you want it there in the mix. Oh yes, if it gets played in a club, but then were back at the drummachines again. Make it sound natural within the stereofield of the set.
