Amp miced with an old audio technical ap201, it’s kinda like a 58. Through a cheap 8 channel nady pre, into the 488. Drums recorded with one studio project b3 condenser. Vocals double tracked with the same. I think it’s a dry mix. The run out to a uc222 into reason and left as is. Cheers

is it possible to record and playback through the same faders on the m308? I as under the impression it would as I think it was made to work with machines like the Tascam 38. I also need to be able to listen to the cue while recording.

Looking at those models, notice they have 1/4 inch instead of rca. Is it the same way on the Tascam, one side in one side out? Just need an adapter.

I would really like a midi tape synchronizer for my Tascam 488mkii. I've noticed the MTS-30's appear online very rarely and they're pretty expensive. Is there another model I can look for that will work for it? Or maybe a way to stripe from my computer with an interface or anything like that...

So are you applying all the effects during mix down through the effects sends? or recording to another track the processed signal? I find the stereo returns 9/10 11/12 weird as you don't get the same stereo panning option that you get from the channel you're processing.

Very cool! I’ve been looking at the tc unit actually, and the rnc. Sorta debating between the rnla and rnc. I’ll post a recording at some point but I have yet to even apply compression so I don’t know if it’s worth it in my case. If you have any music to share, I’d like to hear.
