What to choose for each track (vocal and piano)? Knowing that ii am using a phonic mixer from which i take an aux out to the input of the sound card of my desktop. Moreover i used to record on sonar 8.5 with audio tracks not midi ones.

I am talking about vocals recording and as I know that in vocals I have to choose a mono input, so is there a choice found on the pic I sent resembling a mono input?

Thanks dears, i got it. Both mono and stereo tracks in a DAW usually have stereo outputs. Mono or stereo is referring to the source (input), not the output.

Hi Dears, I am having sonar 8.5 as a multitrack DAW and a sound card audiigy . I know that it is better for vocals to be recorded as mono not stereo but i don't know exactly which of them should be mono the input or the output or both. Thanks a lot.

Since DAW has multi channels, then why microphones should be connected first to a mixer before the computer?
