    Fabric to cover mineral wool

There's specs for that product if you can find em, explaining the freq. absorption across the freq. range. The way it was shown to me, you want to choose the thickness of rigid that has the most average absorbtion across the range. That way ideally the room will be flat.

Roadcase for amp head and guitars!

The sole purpose of getting everything in one box is efficiency. We play underground original showcase style shows. The gear spends most of the night in a pile beside the dance floor or beside the stage atbest. Sometimes it's scattered all over if there's no specified spot for it all...

Roadcase for amp head and guitars!

This is for my rig that never changes, two guitars and a head in the center. the pedalboard can can be swaped and changed, I don't get too carried away with pedals. As far as moving we all have decent trucks and a trailer. Filling a trailer with a bunch of small stuff is insane. That's how we...

Roadcase for amp head and guitars!

I've got a pal who's a guitar tech from way back. I'm gonna talk to him and see what he's got up his sleeve. I'm sure he's seen some different kinds of guitar storage working with the big names. If I can just get the guitar storage to work, the whole thing will be golden.

Roadcase for amp head and guitars!

I'm tired of all the clutter and mess of gear we have to keep track of when playin shows. I have to simplify things and make my gear easier to keep track of. Here's a basic plan for something I think would kill. A case that will hold my amp head, two guitars, pedalboard, and all other guitar...

    broken string, broken will

If it seems to be an ongoing problem, look at a set of non-metalic saddles like graphite or ceramic.

Bad Noise on Channel One Yamaha MD8

I definately have the same problem, I think someone left the phantom on. I am very interested in what it takes to fix it. I really don't want to send it away, but I guess if I have to. I will.

Any theories or facts on this; Soundgarden question

Apples and oranges, "Jesus Christ Pose" is from the Badmotorfinger album which was a different era for Soundgarden. That album was produced by Terry Date who is very well know for punishing guitar tones. They said that the theory of tone on that album was to layer the guitar and build a wall, it...

    Retuning after a chord change

It makes sense, a certain chord might sound fantastic in a certain register with a certain string gauge tuned to a certain intonation. Every instrument even the same model from the same factory on the same day will have it's own different character. You can obsess over these differences or...

    Iso booth treatment

This is a booth constructed from scratch double studded and drywalled walls and the ceiling is low but as high as possible. the whole room is just, i mean just large enough to accomidate a drum kit. Space is very valuable what ever I do in here will have to be right against the walls.

    Iso booth treatment

My booth is constructed I just need to treat the walls. The room is about 7' by 8' irregular with carpeted floor, large window and bare drywall walls and ceiling. I'm thinking of rigid fibreglass under canvas held down with 1x2" horizontal straps. The rigid I'm using is 2x4' so I'll just run...

    Covering rigid fiberglass

I'm also looking for something to wrap my rigid fiberglass with but I'm using them as ceiling tiles and I'm a little concerned about the fire rating when the tiles meet the lighting fixtures. Sure the rigid is retardant but what about the canvas?

What cables should run into an isolation booth?

That's a good deal on cable you probably help put him outta buisness. LMAO... I picked up an Hosa "Little Bro" 8ch snake with two headphone jacks. I'm running the snake through a 2" ABS pipe with caps on it (so I can cut a hole just large enough for the cable in each cap and silicone it) I also...

    problem i'm having with Macs

I have a Mac and a PC in my house I use the Mac for audio and PC for cursing. Sure PC's are fast and cheap but a pain in the ass. I don't have a problem with generic hardware, cheap fast processors or all the games, you just need a better OS if your gonna slag macs.

I'm looking for a good DAW to run on my G4 400 yikes machine with my delta 1010lt card in OS9 until I get my 1010 vs. OS 10.3.9 dilema sorted out. My major concern is about 16 tks of audio not midi and I need to edit waves , run vsts, automate the mix and possibly run the odd track to ex...

    Underrated guitarists

Josh Homme... Queens Of The Stone Age and Kyuss ...people talk about Kyuss but no one, even the guitar magazines have paid due props to the guy who has defined a whole movement then walked away from it. His fine ear for tone far surpasses most of the missed guitarists listed here. Oh yeah...
