    MIDI Latency in Windows ME..

I just recently bought a Yamaha DD-55(drums), and a joystick to MIDI cable. Is there a way I can cut down some of the latency? (Keep in mind I'm just casually recording in my home, so I can't really spend any money) I've got a HP pavilion mx70 and I'm running under Windows ME. Thanks.

    SM-57 vs. E609

I have an Marshall AVT275 and a Les Paul Studio. What I'm wondering is, what would be better? Just your classic SM-57? Or the Sennheiser E609, that's basicly made for miking guitar amps? Both are around the same price. I play a pretty even mix of melodic and heavy guitar. Thanks.

    Computer Line Noise

What I would like to do is some simple recording. Like recording vocals, guitar, and feed them from say a UB802, (future purchase) to the computer, one at a time. I'm the only one playing and singing, so I don't really need a multi-channel soundcard or anything special. I just got a $35 gift...

    Computer Line Noise

I have a HP Pavilion MX70(don't laugh I didn't buy it) Everything on the computer is out of the box. My problem is that there seems to be, I guess what you could call, "digital line noise" Basically mouse movement, and other functions make noises. What's really strange though, is that even...
