    feedback welcome

This is a mix of an original of a buddy of mine. He's doing a whole cd project, and this one is pretty typical of the whole project, although there's going to be a mandolin and harmony vocal coming later. I didn't tighten up the fades at the end of the song yet, but besides that I welcome any...

Pro Tools - peak level in dBFS

Right now there's a great deal on Waves WLM Loudness Meter that does everything you need it to do. I know this because I just bought it yesterday. It's usually about $400, but I got it on sale for less than $100. Loudness Meter Plugin – WLM Plus | Waves

    favorite dynamic chain for vocals

I've got a favorite dynamic chain for processing vocals. It's the Waves CLA-76 into the CLA-2A. I also like the Waves RVox alone. But it's not as transparent as using the other two. How do you guys process vocal dynamics?

    does this sound over compressed?

My ears tell me I have a good master, and I don't think it's over compressed or over limited for popular bluegrass today. Maybe someone else would hear it completely differently. I can't post the link to the mp3 until I make a few more posts. I'm having problems getting my integrated LUFS...
