    Questions about foam

Where do you get this stuff from? Also, how much am I going to need? I don't need to cover the whole room, right, just two walls and some in the corners?

    CD Covers and Labels?

I have a friend who has the Epson, or some kind of Epson. He just got it last week. He printed one test CD and said it was pretty good. The only thing he said he didn't like was the fact it couldn't print in full color. I don't know the model number, so that one might be able too. This was my...

    CD Covers and Labels?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=178&item=3429120633 I called that guy. He said it's about the cheapest way to go, but you're limited to one color. 1 ribbon does about 50 CDs with text just on the top, or 25 with text on top and bottom. For $105, you get the printer...

    CD Covers and Labels?

A thermal printer for titles just at the top or bottom for $600? The one I seen is here. I was just thinking that might be good for 50 demos or something.

    CD Covers and Labels?

I know there were posts about getting printers to make labels and stuff, and the answer was always go to Kinkos. Can Kinkos print on the labels, or do I have to use their paper? I'm looking to do 50-200 CDs. Is there a better way? What about one of those $100 thermal printers that can only print...

    Questions about foam

My friend and I are looking to start doing some more recording. The only problem is the room. We did stuff in his basement and in a basement of a church. Neither one is a real optimum recording studio. The problem is, neither one of us plan on staying around where we live for more than 6 months...

    Getting all new mics

This is just a little update. I went to Guitar Center several days ago. Their computers were down. They thought they were out of the Oktavas, but couldn't check for sure. They couldn't price match anything. We drove an hour and a half for nothing. We went to Sam Ash because it was right down the...

    Getting all new mics

Thanks for the flyer. I was wondering, when I told him I seen them for $80, he said he could match it. The $80 was from eBay. Do they match to eBay? If they do, I could pretty much get everything from them. If they don't, I would have to find them at some online store cheap to match them...

    Getting all new mics

I called Guitar Center today. They have the Oktava MK012s for $99, but they'll price match to the guy on eBay for $80. That's the best deal I found so far. The only other good place is eBay and with shipping, they are at least $85. I will probably go get them tomorrow. I still need a C1 and...

    Getting all new mics

I was thinking about Radio Shack, but I didn't think they had boom stands, just the straight ones.

    Getting all new mics

These eBay ones are starting to really suck. I can't tell the difference, and I don't think I'll need 6. I can't think of a local place that would have very many of these in stock. I might just end up getting the ones from the first auction. Our goal is to be ready to record by Friday.

    Getting all new mics

These better? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2553736131&category=3278 What about the AKG D112? Would that go on one of these, too?

    Getting all new mics

I paid $159 for the D112, by the way. I was thinking, I'm also going to need stands. Anyone know where to get them or what kind to get? I would like to have most of this stuff ordered before Tuesday.

    Getting all new mics

$175 for two Oktava MC012s. Is that a good price? I bought the AKG D112. If $175 is good, all that's left is C1 and SM57s.

    Getting all new mics

I can get the MC012s and B1s for pretty much the same price. I don't have a local Guitar Center close by. Everything probably won't be recorded in the same room, though. Should I just get the B1s?

    Getting all new mics

More than likely, everything will be recorded at once. Should I go with the ECM8000s, or would the B1s be better, even though they are a little more, because I could use them for other things? Should I go with the V67G? It's about half the price of the C1, but I heard a lot of good things about...

    Getting all new mics

Okay, now I'm torn between Studio Project B1 or Oktava MC012 as the overhead mics. Oktava MC012 cost more, but are high quality. The Studio Projects are cheaper, so I could get two decent bass drum mics, but if the overhead mics are a major factor in the drum sound...I don't know. I have no idea...

    Getting all new mics

After I typed that, I was thinking the same thing. I don't know anyone who uses SM57s as overheads. There's another problem. One drummer we know uses two bass drums. Should we get two D12s or not? They aren't a real cheap mic. I should only get about 2 or 3 SM57s and then get two small condensors?
