How do the kicks and 808 sound on this to you guys?

I don't know if this is what you're going for, but I'm hearing a lot of distortion. I think it's the kick 'cause you hear it for the first time around 0:34.

Industrial Metal Meets Alicia Keys Piano

I think the piano is too loud. The pads could come down a bit too. I think the guitars should cut through more than the piano. But nice track.

Got writers block on a beat I'm working on, any suggestions for improvement?

Nice beat, but man, turn that sub bass down lol. And I do think it seems to be missing something.

We Forlorn Hope new metal single mix critique needed

Listening now at full volume, I think the snare sounds hi-shelved or hi-passed a little too much, maybe try adding some mids and/or lows. Also the reverb on the snare is too short or something, not sounding good to me. This is a heavy instrumental. I like it.

We Forlorn Hope new metal single mix critique needed

Nice track. Not too bad in my opinion, but the whole thing sounds a bit muffled. Maybe a little treble boost on the rhythm guitars?

Original pop punk song (need mix feedback)

It basically follows it, but it's not quantized, and it does have its own notes on a couple occasions. I made the bass very sub heavy, so on smaller monitors or earphones you might not hear it all that much.

    Lyricist or songwriter?

So, on paper, there is no difference between someone who writes the lyrics only, and someone who writes the lyrics + the vocal melody?

    Lyricist or songwriter?

Hi, I'm in a band where one guy creates the guitar/bass melody and also plays and record them. That makes him a songwriter. The other guy (me) write lyrics to these songs, which makes me a lyricist. But I also create the vocal melody for the lyrics. Am I only a lyricist, or would I be...

Ok, I updated it again. You will hear it for sure now.

Original pop punk song (need mix feedback)

Really? Yeah, it's the same link. The bass basically follows the rhythm guitars, maybe that's why it doesn't stand out much.

Sunshine On Sunday - Short Instrumental Track

Guitars sound nice. The drums are obviously programmed, live drums would sound better. Maybe lower bass just a little? Nice track.

    prepper's paradise

Yes, vocals are clear. Maybe a *tad* too loud to my taste, but then again, I tend to mix vocals too quiet lol. Snare sounds nice. You could turn guitars up a bit.

Original pop punk song (need mix feedback)

Ok guys, I updated a new version on Bandcamp with a live bass. I'm still in the early stages of mixing it, but I'd like feedback anyway. Thanks.

I took into consideration everybody's comments. Thanks a lot guys. I'm still working on it. I will get a live bass by tomorrow.

"Still Got Me" Now with vocals

The guitar that comes in at 0:59 sounds real nice.

Original power pop song (need mix feedback)

I just spread a bit the 2 guitars that were conflicting with the vocals. Bandcamp version is updated.

Original pop punk song (need mix feedback)

Thank you for your comments. Yeah, the bass is a VST. I will try to get a live bass for the song. Which frequencies do you think the snare is lacking? I agree it sounds too thin right now. I’ll try to add some saturation to the vocals, and maybe compress a bit more. And they’re definitely...

Original power pop song (need mix feedback)

Listening now, the vocals are indeed way too high-passed. I have a tendency of chiseling a lot of low end away. I boosted some of that low end on the vocals, and reduced the treble on the 2 jangly guitars. I think vocals sound clearer now. I also reduced a tiny bit the volume of the kick...

    Boy Band

I would compress the rhytmn guitar slightly to give it more power. I would also add just a bit of higher frequency on that snare, and a little reverb on the vocals as well.
