It might not if the device isn't connected. I know the device won't show in cubase if it's not actually connected even though the driver is installed.

That's a pretty old card. I doubt they spent any time optimizing it's driver for ASIO. Try downloading and installing ASIO4ALL. It's a generic ASIO driver. ASIO4ALL - Universal ASIO Driver Oh yeah. ASIO = Audio Stream Input Output.

What about a firmware update. Does your firmware match your driver?

I don't know if your interface will allow this but you could record a clean guitar signal and then use plug ins for fx OR re-amp the clean guitar and experiment with mic placements etc.

You need to go into the Project Synchronization Window, you find it in the Transport menu. That's where all the settings are. I can't right now but if you still can't figure out the settings I'll hook my gear up and let you know what works. I think I had to set my MIDI sequencer as a slave.
