I would do that, but the deal breaker is the lack of stompbox models on the 15W. I don't really have access to a lot of pedals, so the stompbox models are a definite plus for me.
**Edit**
The footswitch (while expensive) looks quite handy as well. Mostly would be used for playing live (which...
Was in the general vicinity of a GC tonight and stopped in just to see if the hoopla I've heard is really worth it. I was totally floored. They didn't have the 30W version, so I killed the power and volume on a 75W and quietly (can't have the whole store know how poorly I play guitar :D)...
Nice!
Sounds awesome, and Joey would definitely be able to add some killer vox!
Been thinking of buying one of the Vypyr amps. Does the "Power Sponge" on the 75 really do well to lower the volume while maintaining the tone?
That would actually really make it illegal. Copyright infringement of some sort I think. Light or Muttley brought this up in a thread about someone wanting to put Fender decals on a warmoth neck I think.
Either way, the cab looks spectacular. You wouldn't happen to have any construction...
Very Impressive!
Though, if I were to build something as impressive as that, I'd want to put my own sig on it, not another company's logo! (Plus, isn't that technically illegal?)
I use Ernie Ball Skinny Top/Heavy Bottoms. Normal sets are 10-42 (I think), but these are .10-.52. The lows sound a lot beefier to me with the thicker bass strings.
Um...whoops. Perhaps in my perusing for a link that I wasn't supposed to know about, I failed to read that I wasn't supposed to know about it.
In any case...please hurry, reaper team. I got really exicted when I read this post.:D
Yes, I'm pretty sure they did. Had a dual monitor set up for awhile, but ditched it due to space constrictions (for now). Reaper wouldn't work as a dual monitor app should.
Shame that it's a deal breaker for you, toker. It's a phenomenal app.
Was wondering if anyone has had a chance to try out a new plug called "redoptor."
The demo video is done by a russian dude with a reeeeeally thick accent, so it's hard to understand at times. Anyone have an english explanation of how you think it sounds?
edit:
If anyone else is interested...
Agreed. Seen him live several times. His shows are worth infinitely more than his albums. I took a big Guster fan (who hates John Mayer) to see them together a few years back, and even he picked up a copy of the live CD that was put out after the tour.
I know you're talking about "most technical," but my perfect mix of technique/tone/melodic has to be Neil Zaza. He can rip off great shred runs, then the next line is just a soaring melody dripping with tone. Makes me keep practicing.
I'm under the impression that only vibraphones have that (hence the term vibraphone).
I may very well be wrong. I was a "percussionist" in my high school band, but:
a) That was 10 years ago
b) Drummer is the more adequate term. The most chromatic percussion instrument I played more than...
I don't mean a threadjack here, but 2 things:
1. I think it sounds great. My ear might be untrained, but I can't tell a difference from a real orchestra.
2. How does this VSTi stack up against IK's Philharmonik? I've been looking into buying an orchestra VSTi, and need help making a decision.
Plenty of drum software exists. Most popular are EZDrummer, Addictive Drums, and BFD.
With good midi editing (I use reaper for it), you can really get some good sounds out of it. They all come with MIDI loops, and you can remove individual notes, generate multitrack outputs (separate channels...
