I was using cubase today. mixing a lovely song.... used quite a lot of samples in different tracks...and used reverb on many of the channel inserts. I opened another cubase file... went back to the original one i was working on and all the channels automation became unselected (no great problem...

when you guys are saying a good pre amp what kinda price range we talking? i.e way above the DMP3?

if your after cheap mics. check out the t.bone mics on www.thomann.de. a few people have posted about them..... i remember they are very cheap and theres quite a range of mics.

not really my kind of thing, but the guitar sounds a little fragile on the higher notes at the intro.. but the biggest thing..(this is on life by the way) the loud part of the song, seems the same volume as the quiet bit.. but i spose that aint anything to do with wot the band has to improve on...

it can work ok. ive done it a few times, but obviously your gunna pick up a load of cymbals so if you want to apply any kinda of effect or process to the tracks in any way your gunna have to be careful cos youl be changing ur cymbal sounds. Also they wouldnt sound as close in the mix and u wont...

you can get some really nice sounds using stereo micing on acoustic guitars... double tracking the guitars will help thicken up the sound (i think)... i dont think ive understood your question... very tired. :confused:

I miked a bass cab with a D112 and a s12e yamaha speaker the other day.... worked good. depends wot sound your after, but speaker picked up so much of the bass frequencies, could get a great sound from it.. any way..... just thought id say :)

Hey people, can anyone help me with the backwards guitar solo on 'im only sleeping' (the beatles) ive figured out most of it by reversing it and learning it forwards but the middle is just a bitch. anyone?
