Hmmm... sounds like mixing problem more than some to fix via the mastering process.......... you may want to take another crack at a re-mix before you throw money at a what may well be the wrong approach to a solution (ie, throwing a compressor at it!)

Yikes.... not!!!!!
If you can afford it, the MPX-1, but otherwise I wouldn't go with anything less than a Lexicon MPX-500. Period. Can't afford even that price point?? Save up your money!
Cheap reverb sounds, well, CHEAP!
You go budget, you'll just be wasting money 'cos you'll be...
Shana,
There are 2 sound systems used when handling sound in a large venue. The FOH (front-of-house) mix which is what the audience hears, and the artist monitor mix, which is needed by the artist to hear themselves (and other instruments/sounds) on stage.
The artist doesn't give a damn about...
Hmmm... an SM57 is not going to be of much help - it's cardioid, so as an overall tool to pickup a distant, fairly wide signal-source, it's not very effective. Some sort of omni, possibly placed behind the drummer, may work.
The problem a lot of times in these venues is that the kick and...

The use of DI comes from the concept of getting the guitar's pickup sound directly to the console, bypassing the guitar amplifier completely. The intention after having recorded that way would be to re-amp that signal to restore the "tone" of the guitar that is lost not having gone thru...
Piano does sound nice in stereo, but there are occasions NOT to make it so. Depending on the song and how key the piano is to the mix, trying to fit in a stereo piano into a busy mix can be difficult - but if collapsed into mono, it can "tuck in" much more easily.
The same can be said of...
Awww... don't be ascared!!
Maybe you got the one unit that actually passed QA!!!
Hey if it works for you and you are happy with it, then you're one of the lucky ones - you got something that works for ya for less dough!

No sorry, that is dead wrong... you don't want an amp rated below a speaker's handling - you want it rated MUCH higher
For example, NS-10s (yikes!) handle 25 watts, but you NEED to power them with a good 100-200 watt amp for any sort of decent sound (and even then...!!) And it has nothing to...
Unless someone's got a gun to your head, forcing you to buy Behringer - STAY AWAY from it! Pay the extra for a Mackie, or look at some Spirit, or Samson boards....

The MPX-1 is really designed for high-quality reverbs, delays, and other multi-effects. It isn't really designed to provide amplitude-related effects such as distortions for guitars. I can't tell you off-hand whether there even is a preset for it, but even so, I can't imagine any case where...
