I’ve been using a pair of Rode NT5s for several years. I love them for drum overheads and I also recently used them in combination with an older NT1 on acoustic guitar. It was in this second scenario that I noticed a strange pulsing noise. After isolating each component, I traced the problem...
OK, yeah, but this doesn't change the way the audio files are originally created, only how they are exported. Or am I missing the point of your post? Wouldn't be the first time
Thanks for the insight. It certainly appears to be the case. I've had my buddy give me .wav files out of Protools and they seem to have time stamps and drop into a project at the correct location(s); I was hoping SONAR could do the same thing. I'd like to take the raw files into a brand new...
I'm wondering if the audio files that Sonar creates are time stamped broadcast wavs by default? They don't seem to import at their correct time, but I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
Any guidance would be much appriciated.
Thanks!
PM sent - yeah it should support that weight. There are 2 3" braces under the top as well as a brace in the back with some L braces. Extra braces could also be added I suppose but 3/4" Birch Ply is pretty good stuff.
You know I've wondered the same thing since the converters are so nice. But since I always used it as a stand alone unit, I never really figured it out. As for offloading the data, I used the firewire thing.
BTW, I received an email about this unit asking me about the production date. It's currently all packaged up so before I open it all back up to find the date, does anybody know why the production date would matter other than determining the unit's age?
Did they change something significant at...
Yeah, the stock 40GB is in one, the other is empty. I never installed a drive into it. At 44.1kHz/24-bit a 40GB lasts a long time. When I did record at 96/24, I'd just transfer the files to a backup drive when I was done.
This unit has been in my smoke free studio for about 3 years. I've recorded about a dozen full length albums with it and countless demos and it has always performed flawlessly. The unit is in excellent shape and could almost pass for new.
This is a very flexible unit allowing you to mix...
Ahh yes. The old record in the bathroom technique. There are some reflections that are only possible when bouncing audio waves off plumbing fixtures...
I built this desk about 5 years ago for my project studio. It housed a Soundtracs Topaz 8 mixer and 3 single space patchbays. The top shelf supported my audio monitors and two 19” PC monitors.
I'd originally planned on putting 10 spaces of rack storage on the slanted "side car" but decided to...
