    Liquid Ireland

I like the low end on the kick-it's really moving some air, though the kick seems to overwhelm the snare compared to how i remember your drum mixes. Cool stereo guitar sound. I like the vocals-they draw you in to the mix to hear them. I like the side to side delay stuff around 3:20 really...

    White Noise

Hello chuckduffy! I like the live feel of the rhythm section-the bass seems a bit low to me-seems like the bass drum covers it a bit, but that adds to that live feel. Vocals sound great for a single performance! I like the piano. The guitar sounds pretty modern for the genre, but that's again...

Please help me with this mix

I liked this song so much i didn't think about the mix. You could make minor adjustments but this is very impressive and enjoyable as it is. The left/right acoustics are so tight it's hard to tell if it's one stereo track or two mono panned? Recorded well. Great performances. Nice work!

    Heaven on Earth

Like the guitar tone alot-at times in the song it's there but i really have to strain to hear it.. nice bass sound the understated drums work-i would maybe bring out the snare a bit with some top end the vocoder effect is almost there-too hard to make out words-almost sounds sybillant Great...

    Wishful Thinking (acoustic pop punk)

I think the acoustics could come up in the first section. That sounds like the particle reverb on my zoom pedal : ) ok moved to the mastered version now-acoustic more in the mix i think it could come up still I like the place the vocal sits in the second version much better I would have more...

    Linoleum - NoFx cover (rough)

Great guitar playing, the tone sounded a bit obnoxious to start but blended well once it got going. Drums are well done, a bit too upfront/dry for my taste, vocals will probably bring it all together. Bass seemed under represented, sounds like you're really chugging away-i'd like to hear it...

    "Forgiven"

Good song-nice gesture to present it to your friends daughter. As far as the mix, it sounds good to me, though there's a general distance from the sounds that keeps it sounding kind of small to me. Some of this is in the use of reverbs, for example the opening acoustics sound too washed out to...

    Silver Glide

I think the song is great-interesting chord changes and melody. The drums are killing it for me-every time i hear a snare roll i know the drums aren't real. A different snare sound might be worth a try. I think the rim shot groove works well in the early part of the song. I think some more parts...

    BJZ - 'False Pride'

Cool song-good playing and mix. Commenting on the soundcloud version. First thing i noticed was the kick drum-it seems to stick out unnaturally, once my ear fixated on it, i couldn't shake it. Nice guitar playing tone is pretty nice. I think some ambience on the pull offs during the verse might...

    Slurpasaur - new VHS song

I like the song-reminds me of devo with they guy from pet shop boys singing. As far as the mix it sounds like everything is hiding behind each other. I think the vocals could come up and lose a little of the ambience. The drums could be more driving-more high end sheen on the drums maybe...the...

    'The Outsider'

Sounds great-Nice tones on everything, nice solo tone and clean rhythm sounds. The progression at first reminded me of jean-luc-ponty, but once you started adding changes it had a sound of its own. Drums sound great-not sure if you recorded them but nice job-not easy to get such a tight recorded...

    Bad Dreams II

Love the drums-that snare really pops nicely-the whole kit really-kick sounds great to me as well. Vocals-i would have tried a delay when you're just vocalizing without words, just an unsolicited production idea that popped into my head. I like the strange bubbling synth stuff that happens...

    "Lifeless"

Listened partially to several versions as i scrolled, commenting on the demo5wav. Guitars sound tight, maybe this version sounds less muddy than the other versions i checked out which is a good thing. Drums sound pretty nice-realistically programmed-i like the swish of the high hats-gives a nice...

    The Surface - alternative

This sounds great-good tones and performances all around, nice arrangement ideas to keep things interesting. Any criticisms would just be incorrect personal preferences. I really like some of the vocal layering ideas with the verbed higher pitch vocals. Drums sound better than usual to...

    Words in a Box

Thanks for listening everyone! To answer some specific comments; Spantini-The Moody Blues!-i hear that-if only i could sing like Justin! Thanks for your time. TripleM-Thanks for your time and putting up with the reverb-As VHS mentioned the two guitars are played in slightly different...

    Words in a Box

Here's another collaboration effort, just finished yesterday. A very simple tune using nylon string guitar and some string sounds from the ik multimedia miroslav collection. The lyrics were half written by a girl i met playing games online, we became good buddies over a period and she gave me...

The Last One In The Room - alternative pop rock

I like the distortion tones on the guitars the way those overtones are clashing and jiving together in the opening. Nice vocal tracks, strong and accurate. Very listenable song. No real mix comments i think you are getting the sound you want and anything i might add is uninformed opinion. Nice...

Newbie... first new post -- Smother Me

I like the song-good tones on the guitars, good vocal performances, drums sound pretty good for programmed. The mix sounds pretty good but the mastering is just trying too hard to be loud...this is redonkulously loud! You are losing the subtlety in your layered vocals and the separation of your...

    Sun sets on the Sea

Hey guys thanks for your time and honest input! Nervebag-Welcome and there is no overstepping of bounds, as long as you're giving your honest input it is much appreciated by me. I certainly have no problems making criticisms of songs and recordings that i believe are higher quality than my...

    "Come As You Are"

Sounds great to me..I thought at first the music without vocals was a little dull sounding, but the vocals are adding a nice top end that fills the spectrum out. I think some of the guitar fills could come up in the second verse? (1:30ish) A few spots where she's belting it out maybe a touch...
