I actually had that board on there first but changed it. Not sure why. I think because it is a little bigger and we all know that size matters in the mixer world! :) That is why mine takes up half of my room now. now if I could only learn to use it!

I just depends on what you are wanting to do. I like to have a mixer on the front end because it allows me to run the monitor mix however I need to while sending the dry mix to the DAW. But that is just me. I would really adv to get the Delta 1010 over that just in case you need more inputs...

You will either need a mixer and/or a good sound card. There are tons of threads about it here. Do a search for mixers and soundcards and you will get some good info. And before someone flames me for saying to search it......suck it! :D I search this place almost everyday and get great info.
