    Try turning off your system and rebooting, Check your latency on your card and make sure the drum loop has been recorded at the same sample rate as you are recording your guitar at. :) happy recording

    Cubasis vst 5 can do it very cheaply but you only have the option of 8 vst instruments, however, some of the kids at the arts college where I work will record a vst midi mix down and insert the resulting wav into an audio channel, it does work, and if a 13 year old can do it so can you.     Set your software to record and minimise the window, this sometimes works. You are using a celleron and they are not to good at coping with audio intensive proccessing. Good luck.
